Top Ten Things I Learned at WFTDA Champs Day 1: 10. The talent and hunger on display is palpable. And thats just the photographers. 9. Dip em Dots will burn your tongue if you dont hydrate. 8. Sometimes it is tough to tell where derby attire ends and Halloween begins. 7. Old derby: no lead jam cause no one is skating. New derby: two unbreakable walls holding back jammers for a full two minutes. 6. Big winner wasnt Denver or Victoria or Texas or Windy. It was most assuredly the fans. 5. Male fans of Minnesota continue to fiscally hurt shirt companies everywhere. 4. Parade of teams included two horses thankfully no accidents. 3. Merch of the day: baby outfit from Bear City which reads EAT THE BABY 2. Merch of the night: Londons scarves which were of great use during the VERY cold walk back to the hotel. 1. Nashville Roller Girls have been incredible and some of the best hosts I have ever been lucky enough to visit. Thank you, Volunteers!
