For tha past couple of weeks I have been reducin to paper some recollections of life in our town of Schlater with particular emphasis on one aspect of if. Im gettin close to tha end of my tale thats kinda/sorta ah true story, but I have recently been informed by ah life long fren frum childhood that my memories are often lent to take ah side road on accuracy of events. But, hell, I aint professin to write no history book! Be forewarned! Its ah Long Read an gettin longer. But for those who have ever lived a small town existence, particularly those of us of ah certain age, I feel & hope that yall can relate to mah story. For you city folk, I feel yall will appreciate my attempt at tellin tha tale an will get ah glimpse at life as it wuz in tha rural Delta back in tha day. Theres some humor, some tragedy, and some pungent truths of the world we live in both then and now. Further, I must apologize for I wrote this piece in mah Delta Dialect paying no heed to proper English in mah use of words, their spelling, an even sentence structure.
