Top ten things Im grateful for this Thanksgiving (in no particular order) 1. That with a little more work to be done, I might be in my new condo, by next Thanksgving. 2. Everything I have learned from Jamie, Jolie and all my friends in Room 6 at SFYC...especially how tocollect myself when needed. 3. My fellow Bookies who push me to read books not in my wheelhouse and provide interesting and heartfelt conversations once a month. 4. My cousins, Big Susan, Little Susan, Jimmy and Michael Jacobs, and their wonderful families who keep me in touch with my past and those relatives who were there for me when I needed them. 5. Violet Daisy.....you are a bundle of love and sweetness. I wake up every morning with a big smile on my face in anticipation of your sloppy kisses. 6. Ben, Noah and Nancy...everything I do....I do it for you. 7. My friends....when God was handing out gifts, I didnt get gorgeous, brainy or wealthy, I received the best friends any woman could ever want or need...you know who you are. 8. Danny....Thanks for saving my life, unpeeling my layers and loving me without condition. I owe and attribute all that I am to you, my Love. 9. Leonard Cohen, Bette Midler, Aretha Franklin, and every other singer I accompany in my car. It makes an anxious, sometimes difficult trip bearable. I will continue to harmonize with you, botch your lyrics and embrace all kinds of music forever. 10. My social director, Steve Wiener for enabling me to get on a plane to freakin ISTANBUL (WHAT?) next October. Bring that wife along, I kind of love her to pieces. Happy Turkey Day everyone.
