Topic: Annie started out as a comic. Then it became a musical on stage in 1977. But the musical was changed drastically from the comics and thats seems to be okay with people. In 2014 they do a motion picture update of Broadway musical and that does not appear to be okay with people. So its okay to change and butcher the original comics to make the musical that we call the original Annie but its not okay if filmmakers change the musical somewhat to make it modern and more relatable for todays audiences. Why is okay for the original comics to be changed but its not okay if they change the musical? That makes no sense to me. If you want them to be faithful to the original Annie they outta go back to the comics and make movie or play from that.
