Topic: Godliness is profitable unto all things! The book of Timothy expresses as, ...for bodly excercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things (1Timothy 4:8 KJV). Godliness is a state of a life fully devoted to God in conduct, behaviour and thought. The Greek word eusebeia has a vast and rich weight of expression; it has a meaning that engrosses respect, reverence and piety toward God. Amongst all quality of attributes godliness is to be activated in a believer (2Peter 1:6-7). The writing of Pauls exhortation touched godliness in this maner; ...that we may lead a peaceable life in all godliness and honesty (1Timothy 2:2 KJV). You see how the essence of godliness is demanded in the word of God? You may do bodly excercise and be healthy and vibrantly fit body wise; the bible says it profit little. To run a peaceable life with all godliness is on of the peak of our calling. ...But refuse profane and old wives fables, and exercise thyself rather unto GODLINESS (Tim 4:7 KJV). Godliness is exercised by a believer. How? It is very simple to invoke it; the above beggins by saying refuse profane and old wives fables.... What are fable stories? Fable stories are heresy or phylosophy. The other phrase expressed to be refuse is profane. Which has to do with defilement due to absorbing news that makes you commit sacrilege. The word of God nourishes and builds unto all godliness (2Tim 3:16-17). All good works are produce and released by a godly person due to perfect ingrafted word not profane and fable news. Another Greek rendering of eusebeia means to worship well. You are said to be godly when you worship well. What is worshipping well? It is to worship in truth and Spirit (John 4:24). (Acts 17:11). Be enthusiastic to be godly by studying and practising the word (James 1:22) and avoiding any cunning gospel designed for ungodliness. By so doing you would have managed to grasp the state of all godliness, as you yield not your members servants unto uncleaness but righteousness unto holiness (Rom 6:19), the higher life. Shalom!!!
