Topic: Intentions of the heart Main Bible Verse: Jeremiah 17:9-10 NIV The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it? “I the Lord search the heart and examine the mind, to reward each person according to their conduct, according to what their deeds deserve.” *In this Bible verse we see how only God knows the heart, and its true intentions. The heart is where we hold our emotions, our character, our personality. .. the heart is where our emotions are found. The heart is what God examines and according to their conduct, to what their deeds deserve. We can be easily fooled by people, but God knows it all. He examines our hearts and knows our deepest thoughts. *People in the world say follow your heart but that is absolutely unbiblical. The heart is deceitful as the book of Jeremiah states. If we follow our hearts we deceive ourselves; this is why we must allow the Holy spirit to guide us: John 16:13 But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. *In the greatest commandment The Lord says: Love the Lord God with all your heart...... Many people confess the Lord God through their mouth but their heart is far away from him... (Matthew 15:8). If we truly love God, we must love Him with all our heart. Matthew 15:8 NIV “ ‘These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. Matthew 22:37-40 NIV Jesus replied: “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” .......This is what was placed in my heart for you all...
