Topic: THE MAN BY THE NAME MELCHIZEDEK. Genesis 14:18 And MELCHIZEDEK King of Salem brought forth Bread & Wine:and He was the Priest of the most high God. Note:There are 3 names used in this short but exiting verse and not one.So we have to lay some emphasis on them to bring make there meaning clear. 1.Melchizedek: in Hebrew language is spelled;Melki- my king ,& Tzedek-Righteous.= My King (is) Righteous(ness).it is a two word but a sentence not one word as called together Melchizedek but Melki -Tzedek. 2.King of Salem: in Hebrew is Melki Salem; Melki-king, & Salem-Peace=king of peace. 3.Priest of God:in Hebrew it is Kohan-Priest,& Yhwh-God.= Priest (of) God. This man Abraham met have 3 tittle and not only the tittle Melchizedek. He is the king of Righteousness, the King of Peace,& the Priest of the most high God. HOW HE STANDS BY THE TITLE IN BIBLE: •King of Righteousness;Hebrews 1:8-10,& Psalm 45:6-7. •King of Peace;Ephesians 2:14,& Romans 16:20. •Priest of God; Hebrews 4:14-15,& Hebrews 6:20. Note:There can not be two King of Righteousness,or King of Peace or High priest of God spoken in Genesis 14.There is but one who sits on this names forever.He also is the breaker of bread and wine in the scriptures. In John 1:10 He(Christ)was in the world,and the world was made by Him,and the world knew Him not. So in diverse manner and in different ways He has been moving in the world and communicating and relating with men.eg (1Corinthians 6:4). Hebrew 6:20 He(Christ) is made a high priest after the order of Melchizedek (king of righteousness).but the Amplified says After the (Rank) of Melchizedek. So it is a Rank or Title or position that He attained.According to Genesis He holds 3 strong title(Righteousness, Peace & a Priest). The man MELCHIZEDEK IS THE CHRSIT to the Glory of GOD.
