Topic today: Holiness, many people preach on holiness from a traditional perspective. At my church Restoration Temple we had a couples night out for married couples where we had food, a stage play that my wife Denice Garner and my homie Deuel Vaughn put on a stellar performance portraying a married couple going through issues such as finances, infidelity, lack of intimacy in the marriage, and blended families. There were a panel of pastors and their wives to address the issues in the play. Afterward we renewed our vows and slow danced with our spouses to yes, love songs. Many people with a boxed in traditional mindset would say that it is not holy to slow dance in a church and talk about marital issues. It is sad because you have people who go to church 7 days a week and talk deep but when they go home the husband and wife are sleeping in separate beds, not communicating, not being intimate , and just two people living together. It is not holy for people to do a bunch of shouting at church but go home and treat their spouse like garbage. To go higher to the Next Level we cannot be boxed in by traditions and religion. We cannot use VCR methods in a blu ray society. Shoutout to my pastor Arnell Garner & lady Donika Vaughn Garner for all they do and my fam Corey Hicks & his wife Jewel Hicks for coming thru last night too!
