Torn Edges around the eyes, were slightly torn downward leaving edges like a frown, out from our experience came a loss of identity, mine was missing and yours was glowing blindly, my clothes were tatter, worn, even torn, but my edges were not thread less, the things you stole from my soul, left me rattled, I feared even shattered, nearly a bundle of torn edges dropped on the curb-side with no one looking or standing by. my utter shame of what your aim intended burnt me into torn edges, and hiding behind tall hedges, i whimpered that i must reclaim, re-clean the image of the torn & tattered life abandoned and drained by you. lifting my chin, searching for a calm grin, the wind blew my way lifting my face toward grace, restoring missing authenticity with maturity, re-nourishing emptiness, quietly fulfilling my heart again with self-respect so there could be no more Fear or Doubt of Me... hiking, clawing my way from the trashed curb-side, I strode with head held high, for it was your shame that dropped me there the smiles I smile now come from my grace not disgrace i find it’s a safer, positive place beaming with trust, and there is where my torn edges gently rested where they are accepted and supported, free of fear or doubt you see that’s where i’ll bee
