Total Freedom John 8:36 “If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed”. in John 8:36. What is freedom? Jesus died to make us free. But what does that word Freedom mean? It could be not having to answer to anyone or Being perfectly independent in all of your decisions. The Contemporary English Version reads: If the son gives you freedom, you’re free! This further shows that total Freedom is very possible but only with Jesus. The other Freedom the world and the devil may appear to give is false and can never be the true Freedom. God is saying in this single breath that we can be Free. Imagine you are free from Poverty, Sickness, Fear, Death, and Harassment from the Kingdom of darkness. God is saying again in his word that we can be Totally Free in HIM. It is his WILL that we are Totally Free. Luk 4:18 Jesus says The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised. Today I pray that every Force holding you captive in your business, finance, marriage, School and all endeavors will have no choice but to release you into the freedom Christ has guaranteed in Jesus Name. It does not matter even if you are a legal captive. God’s words say you can be free. In Isa 49:24 -26, the Scriptures say “shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered?” In verse 25 he goes further “But thus saith the LORD, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contended with thee, and I will save thy children” and verse 46 crowns it by saying “And I will feed them that oppress thee with their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine: and all flesh shall know that I the LORD am thy Savior and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob”. Hallelujah it means you can be free. Jesus has paid the price already in Calvary for our freedom. Col 2:14 says “Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross”; Col 2:15 went further “And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it”. The scriptures say in Ps 119:89 that “Forever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven”. Let us quickly examine some points on this theme Total Freedom. Also you need to have Faith in God: If you are a born again child of God, you are already an Over comer. 1Jn 5:4 says “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith”. Do you know that the moment you gave your Life over to Christ you have been liberated from Sickness and Diseases. Many Christians don’t know of their place in Christ Jesus? His word says you are an overcomer. With your faith you are free in Jesus Name. Another point I want to touch is that you must abstain From SIN: One of the major reasons many walk into slavery is simply because of SIN. Sin enslaves and brings one into captivity. The Bible says “the wages of SIN is Death” Rom_6:23. 1Jn 3:8 “He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil”. IF you are still enslaved to SIN and bad habits, note that you can be free through Christ Jesus. Lastly you also need to Claim Your Freedom in Prayer and Fasting: One way you can get your freedom and make it permanent is through consistent Prayer Life. Take your place in prayer today and begin to claim your victory based on God words. Challenges your adversary the Devil based on God word and begins to see results. Luke10:19 says God has given all Authority through Christ Jesus. Php 2:9 -10 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth. Brethren this is why this month you must give place to quality prayers and fasting. As we approach the end of the year the Church will be organizing programs and services. Pls. let us make avenue of these to stamp our Authority and claim all our freedom. I believe by the end of the month as we further look into this theme in all church meeting, the Lord of Freedom will give us our freedom in Jesus Name
