Totalitarian Policing - Just 1 way our freedoms are compromised!! Seems to me one of worst decisions and out right attacks on the 4th amendment rested with the 1968 Terry vs ohio which said that a police officer can stop and search a person at random if he deems that person is SUSPECTED of being involved in a crime or he feels threatened or that the person is a threat to others around , and the said can be done WITH OUT PROBABLE CAUSE BEING PRESENT!!! The problem is that you are now giving a police officer on the street more power then a presiding Judge! And these presumptuous Police officers are every day acting , NOT on suspicion of crimes, but on Personal biases and personal ISMS!! We observe police abusing this power and escalating situations with people who most times would not have been doing anything wrong and get offended by the profiling and end up into fights with police which now lands them in jail or with a charge!! The officers then are able to retreat behind this law as a cover by saying OH I THOUGHT he was up to some thing, when a man was clearly standing in a line waiting to order and a officer decides he wants to pick with someone at random. A officer can literally Stop ANY and EVERY ONE in his immediate area and frisk them LAWFULLY by stating that, FOR his SAFETY, he felt the need to frisk any and every one at will!!!. This ruling is to sweeping and to dangerous to leave in the hands of these POLICE THUGS!!! It needs to be readdressed and taken away and we get BACK to the 4th Amendment bill of Rights which says YOU CANT SEARCH my stuff with out VERIFIABLE probable cause!!! Because i FELT like it does NOT constitute probably cause!!!!!!!
