Touch me Lord! There are times in our lives when we become afraid and our lives seem to fall out from under us. We crumble underneath the load, weight, fear and hurt of finances, marriage, children, job, and faith . . . the list is endless. How many times in our lives, do we simply need for God to reach down, and with His gentle TOUCH say, “Get up, and don’t be afraid”? Yes, with the Lords TOUCH, we can rise. We all need that reassuring TOUCH from God. The disciples had probably never been this terrified. The y needed Jesus to reassure them so in Matthew 17:7 Jesus came and TOUCHED them. “Get up,” he said. “Don’t be afraid.” When we get up in faith, trusting the lord, all the things that were weighing us down, all the fears, all the worry, all the stress and anxiety are gone.
