Touch rugby this week Monday 15 December - Were at Old Leamingtonians for our normal Monday night session from 6 - 7.30pm with some very special guests from the Wasps academy wholl be bringing the Heineken Cup along with them. If you have a reversible blue / grey O2 t-shirt that we wore for the summer league please bring it with you. Its looking like another dry day but itll still be muddy underfoot so boots with moulded plastic or rubber studs or blades will be preferable; the temperature is set to drop to around a cool 4 Celsius so warm training gear will be advantageous. The session will cost £2 for pay-as-you-go members and is free to full members (for more information on becoming a member have a chat with a committee member). Thursday 18 December - Touch fitness session - last session before Christmas - come along so you can enjoy the Christmas period guilt free! 7pm on the grass pitches next to the Astros and in front of the skate park in St Nicholas Park, Warwick. Suitable for all levels of fitness well be working on speed, strength, agility, endurance and injury prevention; well also mix in some skills work and if we have enough people have some game time. This session is free. Saturday 20 December - Our regular Saturday morning takes place from 10am - 12 noon on the grass pitches next to the Astros and in front of the skate park in St Nicholas Park, Warwick. This friendly daytime session is a great chance to practice your skills with some expert coaching and plentiful game time to follow. This session is free. Sunday 21 December - Warwick Touchs trip to the Ricoh arena to see Wasps first match at their new home against London Irish. Monday 22 December - Our last session at Old Leams until we return in 2015 on January 5. Many thanks for those people whove got back to me about the first tournament of next year which takes place on Saturday 28 February up in Manchester. At the moment were still some way from having a squad for the mixed division. Were looking for a playing squad of 14 - roughly divided equally between men and women. Everybody in the club, regardless of experience, is eligible and welcome to play. There will be some organised and experienced teams at this tournament so it will be beneficial for our squad to have spent some time playing together - which can mainly be done during our Monday and Saturday sessions although it may be helpful to have one or two other sessions nearer the tournament. Obviously at the moment it is still some way off but if you think you may be interested in playing please send us an email. For more information see Adrian.
