Tough day at HITS GJ for team EO. Felix Ortega had a great race despite flatting on the bike. Claimed water temp of 62 was more likely 57-58 degrees. Anne ONeill who won this race a few years back went hypothermic and had difficulty breathing. Anne had to exit the swim. Michi Seagrist had to drop from the swim after the first loop and turn her chip in but went out and rode like a boss anyway for 112 miles. Yours truly cramped everywhere from the cold water and barely made it out of loop 2. I was able to ride 75 miles but favoring my right leg did me in with cramping that made pedaling impossible. Were licking our wounds and getting ready to cheer Mike Shaw and Janice Wright in tomorrow morning!
