Tough question: if it was wrong for Hamas to put children in harms - TopicsExpress

Tough question: if it was wrong for Hamas to put children in harms way to gain favorable publicity against Israel in the Gaza war, was it also wrong for Martin Luther King and his civil-rights allies to put children in harms way to gain favorable publicity against Bull Connor and the other racists in Birmingham, Alabama, in 1963? The tactic worked pretty well in both situations. Some historians think the key turning point in the campaign against segregation was the photo of a police dog attacking a peaceful black child which ran on the front pages of most American newspapers on May 4, 1963. Is it possible that the problem is not the tactic but the rightness of the cause for which its used? Again, tough question. dreamdogsart.typepad/.a/6a00d8341c192953ef019aff0d7b00970d-pi
