Tournament Rules and Guidelines: League of Legends A. General Guidelines Game used: League of Legends Competition method: 5 versus 5 (Team play, 5 players per team) Game mode: Tournament Draft Map: Summoners Rift Sides: (Purple/Blue; Ban first) will be announced before the match or decided by a coin toss, in general instances teams who are in the upper part of the match bracket will be placed as the radiant side Victory condition: The first team to destroy the other team’s ancient (main building) wins the game. Backdoor (attacking enemy structures without any allied creeps) is allowed B. Restrictions 1. Any form of Bug exploit is strictly prohibited. 2. Usage of Third party software (hooks, add-ons, programs, wrappers etc.) which would interact or alter the League of Legends Game Client for the purpose of gaining any form of advantage against the opposing team will be strictly prohibited. C. Pauses 1. Pauses will be only be used if in any case a player would crash/disconnect from the game. 2. A maximum of 5 minutes per pause instance will be given to each team. 3. A total number of 3 Pause instances will be given to each team with respect to disconnected players. 4. Pausing for any invalid reason and without any due permission from the Events Marshal shall result to sanctions. 5. No pause shall be made in the instance of Teamfights, Ganks or any other player against player engagement. 6. Physical disruption of the player (e.g. fan interference, table or chair breakage). 7. The game shall resume once the clearance from the admin is secured. All players shall be notified to get ready at their station at once. The match up shall be considered unfair play, if a player is caught manipulating the pauses act. Penalties shall be applied by the officiating marshal. D. Player Drops/Disconnects 3. 1. An appropriate break shall be allowed to each team as to give appropriate amount of time for a disconnected player to reconnect back into the game. 4. If in an instance that a player has failed to reconnect to the game for any other reasons (within the given 15 minute grace period or 3 Pause instances of 5 minutes each) the game shall have to continue regardless of the circumstances. E. Game Patches/Updates a. It is a player’s responsibility to ensure the use of the latest patch/update for their gaming clients b. Each player is given a maximum of 15 minutes grace period to patch their game clients, failure to do so will result to a default in a matchup c. Patching that go way beyond the given period shall not be used as an excuse. It is the players’ duty to ensure the patching and the use of the updated clients after all. F. Breaks 1. Each team shall be given a maximum of fifteen (15) minute break between matches. 2.
