Town Hall Bham last night - An excellent night of music and fun. Neil had old Rutles pal John Halsey on stage with him as well as VERY capable backing musicians. The songs were from both Rutles CDs.... and of course many in the audience joined in with responces to such songs as Piggy in the Middle. There were odd comedy spots such as when John performed a paper ripping routine and the most poignant part of the show was talking about George Harrison before performing a wonderful ukelele led version of All things must Pass - to a silent audience. Both Neil and John stayed behind to sign CDs and other items, conversing with members of the audience and - as youll see - allowing pictures to be taken. Neil remembered me from our past meetings, and we discussed previous gigs and various projects which Neil and his lovely wife Yvonne are involved in at both home and further afield.... look for something in Liverpool soon, folks. Speaking of Liverpool, The Rutles will be performing there on Aug 31st and if you can... PLEASE see them as you wont be disappointed. The Town Hall is a good venue, and as can be seen even hosted Delaney and Bonnie with George and Eric in 1969. See my timeline for pics
