Town of North Dansville: Sheriff Thomas Dougherty reports that there was a passenger vehicle versus tractor trailer accident today at 5:00 pm on I-390 NB at exit 4 area. A vehicle that was operated by Luke Lewis, age 32 of Naples, was distracted while entering onto I-390 from the exit 4 NB on ramp. Lewis failed to properly yield the right away while entering the interstate, causing the accident and causing the tractor trailer to overturn onto its side. All persons involved in the MVA had none or non-life threatening injuries. Lewis was issued a traffic summons for failing to yield the right away. This was in an area that had many traffic barrels due to the road construction being conducted. Sheriff Dougherty would like to remind all persons operating vehicles in work zones to be very cautious and slow down. With the holiday weekend upon us, traffic will be increased and work zones may be unavoidable. Please be cautious and have a great and safe Independence Day. --Sgt. Joseph A. Zambito
