Town plans to implement offsite levies Levies will add to cost of new developments in community Town of Edson plans to implement an offsite levy to help offset costs incurred by continued development and pressures on new and existing infrastructures. “We need to make sure we can meet the growth demands,” explains Brigitte Lemieux, assistant town manager, who is encouraging everyone to come to the open house. “It is important that the public is informed that new to this community will be offsite levies, and it will add to the cost of development.” The consultant from CORVUS will be at the public meeting to discuss the 59 basins and their rates, give background, and answer questions.
