Toxic Mutagen for a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle party. Super easy and cute party favor. I bought these plastic containers at the dollar tree 10/$1... I then printed round labels and glued them to the top. My boys helped me make homemade play dough to fill them with. And thats it! Heres the recipe below. 2 cups flour 2 cups water 1/2 cup salt 2 tablespoons veg. Oil 4 teaspoons cream of tarter Food coloring Wax paper Glitter (optional) Rubber gloves (optional) Mix all the ingredients together in a large sauce pan except for the glitter and coloring. Cook on medium heat and stir, stir, stir. If you stop stirring the play dough will get rock hard and burn. The dough will become harder as it cooks (Id say about 4 minutes). When it reaches the consistency of play dough take it out and place it on wax paper. Wait about 8 minutes to cool down a bit. Then separate into desire sizes and add food coloring and glitter. (Might want rubber gloves for this) Knead the color through the dough until thoroughly mixed. Keep stored in Tupperware containers sealed tightly or in zip lock sandwich bags. * I like to add essential oils such a lavender, mint or vanilla. :) In this photo I used green food dye and fine green glitter.
