Tracey Gilchrist Gunter asked for us to share a favorite memory or something special about my Aunt Paulette. I remember growing up she was always making pretty things. She made me a pair of white overalls and I loved them so much! As I got older she tried to teach me to sew. Unfortunately, sewing was not for me lol. We (she) made a dress for Blair. I still have it and now I have two reasons to cherish it. She spent days painting Bradens bedroom and a beautiful fruit border in my kitchen. I never asked...she just lovingly gave her time. She also would come over in years past and make my Christmas tree beautiful. Not to mention...she could cook like nobodys business. Definitely a trait handed down from my Mamaw. Peyton Brasher always loved her slimy okra. There is so much I could say..she was generous, hardworking and loved her family and this community so much. Her love for Odenville was evident in the time she spent in The Museum. Her love for family was evident in the time she spent studying our family tree. And her ethic for hard work is displayed throughout our community. She was one of a kind. We will miss her.❤️
