Traci Marie Says My 3 year old son Olen is currently be evaluated for Autism Spectrum. Things are not easy right now and other than our sons therapist, we dont really have any support right now. Our family has been yelled and screamed at by family members and friends that we should not even talk about Autism. I never thought people could be in such denial. I could write about so many thoughts, concerns, and questions we have. However, we are taking it one day at a time and one situation at a time. One of my sons challenging behavior is getting out of his car seat while Im driving. He has a 5 harness strap and pulled to appropriate tightness. My son pulls and shakes so hard when having a meltdown that he twists his body out of his seat. We have try so many different a kind of techniques and rewards and running out of ideas. I want to protect my son and tired of stopping every 5 min to get him back into his seat(which is still buckle). Except when he is mad, there is no way of talking to him until he decides to stop. Any positive suggestions would be appreciated!
