Tracy’s Thought For Today July 20th 2013 Don’t Pick A Flower If You Really Love It I have a hydrangea bush at my front door. The flowers are huge and beautiful. I picked several and made a centerpiece for the table. A few days later the once vibrant flowers drooped and fell apart. I didn’t want them anymore so I threw them out. Anytime I want to enjoy my flowers all I need to do is look out the window or walk out front. Once I need to possess them, they can no longer be themselves and will soon wither and die. I need to allow people to be exactly who they are. If I manipulate and “change,” someone, they too will wither and I wont be able to see the thing that drew me to them in the first place. Then like the flower, what was once a vibrant love will be dead.
