Traffic Advisory: Road work on KY 11 in downtown Flemingsburg Watch for one-lane traffic next two to three weeks FLEMINGSBURG, Ky. (Aug. 1, 2014) – Motorists using KY 11X through downtown Flemingsburg will encounter one-lane traffic the next two to three weeks as part of a Kentucky Transportation Cabinet roadway repair and resurfacing project. Work will take place on KY 11X – also known as KY 11 Bus., or business route – from the KY 11 and KY 32-Flemingsburg Bypass intersection south of town near Pizza Hut to the KY 11-Flemingsburg Bypass intersection north of downtown near the country club. Specifically: • Beginning Monday, Aug. 4., and continuing for five to 10 days, state highway crews will make curbside drainage repairs to southbound KY 11X from just north of KY 2503 near the Dollar General to just south of the Railroad Street and East Electric Avenue intersection. Traffic will be one lane controlled by temporary signals from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each workday. All lanes will be open at night. • Also beginning Monday, contractors will be making repairs on various sections of KY 11X between both Flemingsburg bypass intersections. Following that work, beginning approximately the week of Aug. 11, paving will take place along the entire downtown route. Work zones will be one lane controlled by flaggers. Road work is subject to change depending on weather conditions. Motorists are asked to heed all warning signs, slow down in work zones and remain aware of workers and construction equipment when traveling.
