Traffic Jam for rest of the Ramadan. Via KuwaitTimes Major highways in Kuwait saw heavy traffic on the first day of Ramadan, which was expected, yet drew attention to the Interior Ministry’s incompetence in addressing the problem. Traffic jams dominated the third, fourth and fifth ring roads as well as other highways around the beginning of working hours at 9 am and again between 1 pm and 4 pm. The changes in working hours, which included adjusting the start and end time with the beginning of the holy month, was the reason behind the jams, which is expected to continue during the whole month, said sources at the Traffic General Department.
