Traffic Update for this Weekend: The IronMan race is in Western Wake and Raleigh on Sunday. The race starts Sunday morning at 7 am at Jordan Lake, cyclist will arrive in Holly Springs starting around 8:30 and then will be headed from Sunset Lake Road to Optimist Farm Road to Lake Wheeler Road into Downtown Raleigh. Last year traffic was at a standstill for a couple hours during the peak group of cyclers. Runners head out Hillsborough Street and back to Downtown. Majority of the race will end by early afternoon, but last year several runners were midafternoon finishing.
