Traffic lane restrictions will occur on both Alex Rd and Alex-Bell Rd during road construction scheduled for Monday, July 29. The roadway work at the railroad crossings on South Alex Road and Alex Bell Road is planned to begin at 8 a.m. on July 29 –weather permitting. The work will begin on Alex-Bell Road and then move to South Alex Road. The construction, which involves grinding down the asphalt between the rail road lines, is expected to be completed in one day. “One lane of traffic will be shut down at a time, leaving at least one lane for each direction of travel,” said Maureen Parsons, city engineer.
