Tragedy has struck our house not once, but twice. My daughter lost her 2nd tooth today. The first time she accidentally swallowed it in a waffle and was devastated that she didnt have anything to leave under the pillow for the tooth fairy. She wrote a note to the fairy explaining her predicament and was relieved the next morning to find that there was still money under the pillow even though there had been no exchange for a tooth. Today she guarded the precious tooth all day until it was unceremoniously knocked out of her hand tonight by her father as he was reaching for a book. Four of us searched under her bed, under her dresser and every inch of the carpet with flashlights, to no avail. A disgruntled little girl is now upstairs trying to fall asleep in hopes that the tooth fairy will accept a note of apology for the 2nd time in less than a month.
