Tragic circumstances happen to good people every day, leaving us - TopicsExpress

Tragic circumstances happen to good people every day, leaving us bewildered and full of questions, never getting the answer we feel we deserve. Some make national news and set off chain reactions, while others are reported and brushed aside. We have become so immune to them that often we dont comprehend the depth of the tragedy until it hits close to home. Today was such a case for me. I heard the news on FB that a motorcyclist was killed this morning on the west side of Colorado Springs, and breezed by the headline because I didnt think I knew any 22 year old riders, but tonight I sadly found out it was the son of one of my closest friends. This womans world revolved around her childrens lives, which is what I think is one of the numerous similarities we shared that drew us so close. I know how much she loves her children, because I know how much I love mine, so can only scratch the surface of imagining what she must be feeling at this moment? Telling her Im sorry for your loss or any sort of condolences does not begin to come close to what I really want her to know how terrible I feel, and how much I wish I could hold her and let her cry on my shoulder for as long as she needs. She helped lift me at one of my lowest times, and I so want her to know I would carry her her through hers. In the wake of so many tragedies that hold so much of our attention, please take a moment and think about who you love the most, who makes your life worth living, and who you would not want to live without, and simply say to them in any way you want to communicate I love you. There is no better time to do it than right now, and no worse time than wishing you could one more time. Do it!!!
