It is an international relief, development and advocacy NGO dedicated to working with children, families and communities to overcome poverty and injustice. World Vision opened its office in Tbilisi in 1994 in response to the countrys dire need for economic assistance and intervention in the lives of Georgias poor and vulnerable. REAL project presents a strategic opportunity for the World Visions (WV) Middle East and Eastern European (MEER) region to improve its impact on child wellbeing though an action learning and evidence building approach to education. The project is focused on developing life-skills methodology, aligned to the principles of the WV Positive Adolescent Development Project Model. The Model focuses on providing vulnerable children with life skills and as a result empowers them to be able to return to school or to advance their skill level to their economic advantage. The life skills curriculum has been developed and the piloting process takes place in daycare and 24 hour transition centres. In the framework of the project subsequent implementation of the curriculum for vulnerable children living in ADP (Area Development Program) communities is planned. Purpose of the position: Conduct the school-based life skills trainings for the adolescent in Imereti region and in Tbilisi Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: 1. Conduct school-based trainings for the adolescents in ADPs. 2. Cooperate with the teachers and school administration. 3. Prepare and provide training reports to Project Manager after each training sessions. 4. Use interactive methodology and encourage active participation and motivation during the learning process. 5. Support the project manager in accomplishing all the other curriculum related tasks as deemed necessary. Outcomes required: 1. Trainings are delivered according to the schedule. 2. Each session training reports are submitted to Project Manager. 3. Trust-based relationship with children is built. 4. Good cooperative relationship with school staff is established. Required qualifications: 1. Bachelor or Masters Academic degree in psychology; 2. Minimum of 2 years direct work experience with highly vulnerable children and their families; 3. Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills; 4. Good report writing skills; 5. Analytical aptitude and attention to details; 6. Excellent written and presentation skills in Georgian (preferably in English as well); 7. Must have computer aptitude (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and word processing skills; 8. Self-disciplined with good time management skills.
