Training Tip (March 10, 2014) Make each rep count. When you focus only on the contraction (the part of the exercise where you squeeze the muscle you’re working), you’re only doing half a rep. The part where you stretch the muscle being worked is equally important. During this part of the rep, slowly feel the muscle release the weight and work your way into the stretch. Don’t just let the weight drop. Better reps build better bodies.
