Training for your first 5k or for any race for that matter requires actual running, but a good foundation can play a huge role. My favorite runners cross train. Im wondering how many of you would take an 8 weeks circuit style course that was designed around 5k race prep. It would be great for anyone looking to get race ready or or just wanting to take their general fitness level up a notch. Lots of core work, muscular endurance and cardio.
