Training suggestions please; as some of you will know, I have 2 NIs (1 CSV x) and 2 Jack Russells, so I hope its ok to post this general question here, especially as Bleydh is a registered NI and the worst offender! Individually their recall is average to good but when were out walking, usually on the moors and quite remote, and we bump into someone, I call them, they come but they seem to all watch each other and as soon as one of them even twitches they seem to think well hes off so Im gonna get there first and its like the starting gate at the grand national, theyre all off at top speed for a fuss etc, 50/50 if theyre just people but just about zero if theyve got dogs. If I spot the peeps first I have a pretty good chance of keeping them within grasp by my Dogs home command but if they see them first its hopeless, I think now they even plan it as they want to walk ahead to the blind corners and stop to see if theres anyone coming, it doesnt help that 99% of people say oh its ok and give them loads of fuss, perhaps should get some people to walk around and be horrible to them😜
