Transfer deadline day: Manchester United are making a late push to sign midfielder Nigel de Jong before the transfer window closes United are set to confirm the signing of Ajaxs Daley Blind on Monday after agreeing terms on a €17.5 million deal with the Dutch club. But the Red Devils could still bring in the 29-year-old AC Milan man in a €10m deal, in a bid to further bolster their midfield options. United tweeted on Saturday morning: Manchester United has reached agreement with Ajax to sign Daley Blind, subject to a medical and personal terms. A further announcement will be made when the process is complete. Midfielder Shinji Kagawa has rejoined Borussia Dortmund from Manchester United for an undisclosed fee. The 25-year-old has signed a four-year deal with the German club, for whom he played from 2010 to 2012, prior to his move to Old Trafford for £12m. Meanwhile, the Red Devils are in talks with Real Madrid over a potential loan exit for Javier Hernandez. Chelsea and Spain striker Fernando Torres has joined Italian side AC Milan on a two-year loan deal. The Blues confirmed the move on Sunday, moments after signing £10.5m striker Loic Remy from QPR as a replacement for £10.5m. Torres, 30, moved to Chelsea for a then British record £50m in January 2011 but struggled to live up his price tag. Arsene Wenger is poised to make a bid for Sevilla star Carlos Bacca in an attempt to ease Arsenal’s striker problems before the transfer window closes. Goal understands the Gunners have turned their attention to the Colombia international after Loic Remy joined Chelsea. The Sevilla striker has a €35 million release clause in his contract but the Spanish club, who bought Bacca for €7m last summer, would be willing to allow him to leave for around €16m. Arsenal have expressed an interest in Monaco striker Radamel Falcao and are expected to battle Manchester City for the striker on deadline day with a fee in the region of £55 million being mooted. Arsenal striker Joel Campbell has pleaded with Arsene Wenger to allow him to move to Benfica. The Costa Rica internationals chances look limited in north London and he is keen to move on loan and get guaranteed football.
