Transformation. The commissioned work executed by CcommeC focused on the change of usage from a warehouse-workshop and an attached garage to an existing house with full rehabilitation covering a floor area of 130sqm to 345sqm.A hopper was created in the garage slab to allow passage of the head created staircase leading to the existing home, inlaid with glass tiles for the supply of light in this area. The workshop canopy is replaced to bring thermal comfort and Parisian type frame chassis are installed as the implementation of the mezzanine. The access (in the workshop and the garage) are kept in their proportions and lacquered aluminium chassis are mis-en-place with a rate of original divisions and playing on the solid parts and glass parts for a contemporary touch. The main entrance to the house is through the old garage. The whole facade is processed according to re-facing and replacement of external joinery of the existing house. In place of the old external staircase leading to the house, building a lightweight structure allows the creation of a small terrace and thus accentuate the relationship within / outside on different levels.
