Transforming from evil to good: People were brought up and influenced by a society who loved fantasy, myth, magic and fable stories, so they think when the words of God say renewing the heart and mind will change a persons face as instant as magic. They will be transformed from a monkey to a goat, or a lion to a lamb. Gods ways was never been like that. He is like a farmer who plants a seed and waits patiently until it grows and bears fruits. Transforming a deceitful heart to a truthful heart, or a prideful heart to a humble heart have two ways. It can happen on your own work, or through Gods work. Changing your evil way on your own, you must rule that evil feeling as He commanded Cain to rule his envy to his brother. Gods way is He can place you in a situation like Jacob who deceived his brother and father. God sent him to Labans house where it taught him through his father-in law who deceived him many times to be truthful in all his ways. Changing an evil way to good is a choice to make by an individual, and that change can happen depending on how much evil it is in the heart. Genesis 4:7 If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it.
