Transnistria on the agenda of the European Parliament EPP Group MEPs Elena Băsescu and Cristian Preda initiated a resolution on the right to education in the separatist Transnistria region of Moldova. The initiative was supported by other political groups in the European forum and will be discussed and then voted on February 6 in plenary session in Strasbourg. Text proposed by the two Romanian MEPs in the EPP strongly condemns intimidation and repeated violations of the fundamental right to education in their native language by the alleged authorities in Tiraspol. Also, Cristian Preda and Elena Basescu calls for greater EU involvement in organized negotiations in the 5 +2 , for a solution to the Transnistrian conflict , a solution that takes account of internationally recognized borders of Moldova. The approach of the Romanian MEPs condemn other separatist intentions of the Republic of Moldova , which only to destabilize a crucial time for its European future . We, as part of the same people , we can not close our eyes to these challenges and must support all over Moldovas European forces , said Elena Basescu.
