Transparency International has ranked Bhutan on the corruption perception index at 30th position out of 175 countries and 6th in Asia-Pacific countries. We are confident that with help of every citizen in the country...when we become greed and desire free...can bring the nation at a higher rank than we were are today. We have the blessing of His Majesty our beloved King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, the three Jewels, hard work of ACC and the motivated citizens, under such circumstances it should be easy for us to climb on the ladder each day and each week bettering our performance as a corruption free nation. Denmark is ranked the happiest nation on earth and it also ranks number ONE in perception index. The US is 17th in the rank which has one of the widest gaps between the rich and the poor. Corruption is directly related to happiness. If we all practice or internalise GNH values, we will be number ONE as soon as we believe in ourselves because then our intentions will be pure our perceptions will be true without mental discrimination. Bhutan rose, as I understood from Commissioner Kesang, ACC from a rank of 47 to 30 in the Perception Index in the last five years. Kudos and congratulation to Dasho Neten and the profoundly hard working team at ACC. My support, prayers and love for ACC will always be there.
