Transparency! We live in a world of one way mirrors. Governments, organizations, and yes, particularly churches, who proclaim it their duty to peer into not only our every behavioral patterns, but even seek to police our thoughts, should not be surprised when we turn the mirror back on those that seek to probe into every intimacy of our lives. Our government has Sunshine Laws, Freedom of Information Acts, etc. and even the church I belong to has uncontroverted doctrine that we believe the Lord Himself gave us requiring that all matters not only be governed by Voice and Common Consent, but that no expenditures from our church is to be made without the common consent of the members (see Petition below)---- which naturally prompted full annual financial disclosure/transparency for 128 years. Any healthy organization, and particularly those that profess to be charitable organization, should not be afraid, and even should invite, full transparency. These past two months a "Petition for Full Financial Disclosure" had been, somehow, infected so that no new signatures of LDS members could be added to it. It has just been remedied.
