Transparency, unfortunately seems to be a NEW trend in social - TopicsExpress

Transparency, unfortunately seems to be a NEW trend in social accountability, in regards to the questionable spending of communities and actions of police, government and military. More notably, the recent First Nations Transparency Act. I personally agree with the act, and support the Mohawk Community of Wahta for their taking action in their community. On a grand scale, Canada should push the federal and provincial government to do the same, and I would like an explanation on how the banks report profits every year since they were founded and yet Canada and its citizens are in debt, and unable to pay the billions of dollars owed that was held in trust by the crown. The Icelandic Revolution of 2009 led to the arrest of the politicians by public demand, they created a currency which was owned by the people (Canadas, along with the most of the worlds currencies are owned by private bankers) and had debt jubilee nationwide. First Nations traditionally as a people do not use this current system of elected officials, campaign and voting. Our traditional tribal council would consist of a hereditary Chief, and Elders as council members, that required no salary for their public service, since it was seen as an honor to be a leader. We also should not be using the currency that is provided by the Federal government. The Two Row Treaty in short, is a promise to never cross paths, which we have done by adopting and/or accepting this colonial system, which is a breeding-ground for corruption. Canada should have a transparent system of government for its citizens, and we as people need to take more leadership and initiative in our communities. #SelfDeterminatinNotTermination #INM
