Transportation is another key element to the upcoming bond. The fact is, that the district maintains a bus fleet larger than VIA. How long do you drive your personal vehicle? Im willing to guess its less tha 15 years…thats how long the district keeps their vehicles before consideration for replacement. With an increase in ridership each year, there is an obvious need to add to the fleet as well as replace those vehicles that have exceeded their 15 year, safe, life-cycle.
