Trauma and me. .. I react instantly in most cases and my first response is fight. .. I have been known to take flight and avoid situations. .. but the worst one is freeze... I go numb and I cant operate. .. the last 24 hrs for me is a blur. I didnt even remember that my car was still parked where I left it yesterday when I went to work. I was so hazy last night with my boys that I dont even recall my dinner. .. I stayed in my safe place and I processed what I could. .. the rest was way too much for me. I hate how this sneaks up on me and takes over my life but Im determined to deal with them as they arrise. This may be a downer but im determined it will be a milestone in my recovery. To my friends please dont stop inviting us places however please be ready for me to decline. My husband and kids need a sense of normalcy while Im working through this. Xxx
