Travel Adventure update... 1. I should never fly anything but Delta. 2. When you tell me we cant I take it as a personal challenge. 3. Work arounds are my super power. So United booked me to fly out tomorrow after I asked them not to. Got Expedia on the phone and 45 minutes later they had my itinerary cancelled, converted and a flight voucher with United. I then asked them if we could convert my return flight to a one way without penalty and book a new one way to San Fran today. Another twenty minutes and they had it set up but couldnt book because it was within six hours of take off. So I went to the Delta counter to purchase the ticket. I found out the one way ticket would be half the price quoted by expedia AND arrive three hours earlier with a layover in Atlanta instead of two connections through Chicago and Atlanta. As I went to my gate I noticed the 10:40 flight United offered to over book me on was delayed three hours which would have had me miss my connection, spending the night in Chicago and arriving in San Fran tomorrow and missing half a day of my retreat. Now. As long as my planes fly safe, this is a huge win and I think I might have saved $100. #youcantisnotanoption
