Travel agencies are warning, no travels to #Egypt: * Personnel in Giza should avoid the vicinity of Cairo University, as well as the nearby Renaissance Square, due to the potential for further unrest. * Defer non-essential travel to Egypt until 6 July due to uncertainty surrounding the current political situation. * In-country personnel should minimise unnecessary movement within and between urban areas until the situation clarifies. Necessary overland travel should be conducted with local security support. * Travel to Sharm el-Sheikh and Hurghada can continue as risks in these areas are lower than in other parts of Egypt; seek profile-specific advice if intending to travel to other Red Sea resorts. * Treat members of the security forces you encounter with patience and respect. * Carry photographic identification and follow all instructions promptly. * Avoid all protests, rallies and strike activity as a security precaution; do not stop to watch or photograph gatherings. Liaise with your hotel and hosts on the timing of planned events and plan routes bypassing them in order to minimise inconvenience and limit exposure to incidental violence.
