#TravelTips to Scandinavian countries. There are more to see/do other than aurora chasing in these countries yah, sharing some of my overall observation while I am here. 1. They are the land of viking. (Pernah tengok How to train your dragon tak? Nih lah land dia... Dragon tak de, viking jer. Hiks 😝) 2. If you are covering few of these countries in a trip, visit at least ONE of the Viking Museum. (Wajib if nak paham history) 3. Norway is super expensive. Full stop. 4. Find a place to stay that is a walking distance to the city, this will save on transportation cost. 5. If you plan on coming here during winter, be prepared to walk in the city at -20c (need not go to arctic circle to experience this pun) 6. How expensive? Mineral water is at 20-28NOK, which is around RM10-14 (so, sila rajin masak air). 7. Alot if walking. Alot. And more tiring too as you are walking in the snow with all the winter clothings weight. 8. Except for Denmark, you can visit Arctic Circle at any one of the Scandi countries. 9. Aurora is not just in Iceland. You can view it at Norway/Sweden/Finland/Canada/America/Russia. So, go try to catch it at other places 😁. 10. They work shorter hours here, ie closes on Sunday, Saturday closes early etc. So plan well. 11. Packing winter clothing? Make sure you do ALOT of layering and heatpad helps. 12. Shoes! I brought my Emu boots (similar to UGGs, just different brand) and Teva sportshoes. Emu/Uggs is so much better, comfortable and water resistant, warmer too. 13. Oslo have a few museums that are free on Sunday. Go check it out! Not the same for Stockholm tho. 14. Aside from Aurora and museums (winter travel)? Theres dog sled, reindeer rides, arctic zoo, ice fishing, snow walking, tobongganing, ice skating etc. All involve $$$ though, even the aurora. 15. Have you watched Frozen? Some of the scene we inspired from the places in Norway. Check out the pictures attached and hunt them down. 16. Generally everyone speaks English and some of the words used are very similar to English, minimal communication breakdown. 17. Their outdoor are super fun/beautiful but you must come in the summer lah. This is it for now, will share more once I am in Helsinki. Good night. 💤💤
