Traveling pants update...I told Ryan to use his Christmas money for whatever he wanted. I knew it would not be used on any anything fleeting. Anyone who knows him would have anticipated that every dime would go toward travel. And so, he is off exploring this great country of ours once more. He spent New Years Eve in St. Augustine and will be exploring Everglades National Park while making his way to Miami on a natural high, induced by nothing but the salty smells of the ocean and glades while in search of the manatee...and other creatures I dare not consider until he returns. This will be his third trip to the Everglades...but the first time making it solo with only his faithful canine companions. Although Diabetes has impacted his life in 2014, I admire his determination to live life to its fullest and not let it slow him down in 2015 or any year to follow. I will not be there to ward off the critters by chanting no gator, no python, no boa...so please join me in praying for his safe return. Im sure he will bring back some fascinating photos and stories of his adventures...as he comes to understand that as blessed as his life has been, the best is yet to come.
