Traveling this summer? Here are some tips to Eat Well and Keep your Tank Full 1.Drink Plenty of Water-flavor with berries, fresh fruit, cucumbers or honey as needed.. Your body is 50-75% water. Fill up your tank with water especially in hot and humid climates. 2.Eat lean protein-baked and broiled or cooked low and slow.Avoid processed and fried meats preserved with sodium nitrite and sodium nitrate which can wreak havoc with your blood pressure. 3. Pack your own homemade snacks -nuts, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, dried and fresh berries, celery sticks and hummus. Take a cooler and keep your tank on full. 4. Fill up your tank at the grocery store and not the drive thru-many grocery stores have salad bars and so much more that is ready to go and healthy without the temptation of fries and supersized meals 5.Stay rich-nutrition wise that is.
