Traveling to Arlington National Cemetery between 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. In an effort to ease the flow of traffic entering the District of Columbia between the hours of 6 a.m. - 9 a.m., the United States Park Police barricades the section of Memorial Circle that connects with the west bound lanes of Route 27. This prevents traffic from entering Memorial Circle off of Route 27. In order to bypass this barricade and reach Arlington National Cemetery from that direction use the following instructions. I-395 N 1. Proceed on I-395 N toward exit 8C 2. Take exit 8C toward US-1 S/Pentagon City/Crystal City/Reagan National Airport 3. Slight right onto S Hayes St 4. Turn left onto 15th St S 5. Turn left to merge onto U.S. 1 N 6. Slight left onto VA-110 N 7. Slight right onto the ramp to Arlington Cemetery 8. Turn left onto Memorial Dr Funeral attendees should proceed straight ahead and speak with a uniformed staff member. Visitors should turn left onto the road leading to the Welcome Center Parking Garage.
