Travelling by motorcycle, having the Freedom of riding every little roads and visiting lost villages; or travelling by boat in the Amazon Basin and enjoying the special spirit of the jungle... Both things are unique! And receiving smiles from every person we met on our way and be part of their lives for a moment, this is even more unique! The 5 last days of our High Andes, Deep Amazon Guided Tour were full of different adventures and different climates. On day 6, we sailed on the Napo River from Misahualli to end the trip in the city of Rio Coca. We stopped along the way to visit few river communities and an NGOs lodge project. Day 7 was a big, long, full-day ride through the Amazon Basin, enjoying big waterfalls and finally reaching the 4000m altitude in the border city of Tulcan, from where we crossed to Colombia Border to visit Las Lajass sanctuary and eat the finest guinea pig on earth (at least in South America). Day 8 blew our minds. The beauty of the El Angel National Park surrounded by the volcanoes Chiles and Cerro Negro (4723m - 15,495 ft high). After a sweet night at the Hosteria Primavera we started day 9 by a visit to a school where the children did not let us go after enjoying the photo cameras as toys and started themselves to make portrait of everybody . A nice ride trough different altitudes, lot of little villages and good local people we met to end the day at the comfort Cabanas del Lago in Otavalo. The last day was the best day to enjoy a view on the Cayambe volcano on a clear blue sky, then we stopped by Oyacachi thermals to finally come back in Quito by a really nice Inca road, passing by the pre-Inca ruins of Pucara de Quitoloma... Back to Quito, Chris and Tony had a free day before their flight, so we enjoyed the special event of the Ukupacha motocross competition. So what a best way to finish their trip?
