Traverse City Insane Asylum November 7, 2015. It was a very cold and damp day. This tour took over 2 1/2 hours! Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of the chapel ceiling, to see if orbs showed up. We were just happy to sit for a minute! It was interesting to hear the history and to see how the patients lived. It was the best facility in the U.S at the time. 3 million patients was the highest count at one time. The need was so great they kept building more and more units. The orbs were the only supernatural experience we encountered.
